Looking for that perfect hotel to make her swoon? The folks over at Expedia's UK office worked with some of the top travel bloggers in the world to compile a list of the best hotels for a romantic getaway.

While I can't provide a roundup of all the hotels they included, here are a few that I think you'll want to check out.

Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego

Submitted by yours truly, the Hotel Del Coronado is a spectacular hotel that exudes the classic Victorian charm of a hotel built over a hundred years ago - while embracing the more sophisticated luxury that today's traveler demands.

The Flamboyant Hotel And Villas, Grenada

Tez Plavenieks sends this gem in and recommends it as a paradise nestled on a cliff overlooking white sand and the azure-colored Caribbean sea. With watersports ranging from diving and surfing to more relaxed activities like paddleboarding there is something for everyone. Tez also recommends taking a hike through Grand Etang National Park followed by a rum punch to complete you romantic tropical escape!

Lux Belle Mare, Mauritius

Travel blogger Savi and Vid describe the Lux Belle Mare as a "slice of heaven" even though they cringe at the overuse of the phrase. The resort is set on a powdery beach, complete with turquoise waters and fresh coconut water served within the complex.

For those wishing a quiet romantic getaway, the hotel serves that objective but they also offer some unique opportunities such as undersea walks, bike rides on the beach, and even a cinema by the beach where you and your honey can snuggle up while watching movies in the warm tropical breezes surrounded by palm trees while drinking potent cocktails.

Hotel De Glace, Quebec, Canada

Aynelina Brogan from Bacon is Magic submitted this one and it sounds AMAZING. For those of you who don't speak French, the name Hotel De Glace literally means "Hotel of Ice" and that's exactly what it is - an entire hotel carved out of ice! Located in Quebec City, guests can spend the day dog sledding before retreating to the hotel where they can enjoy Nordic hot tubs while sipping sparking cider cocktails served in ... that's right ... ice flutes!

At night, guest suites feature a fireplace and a bed that like the rest of the hotel is actually a block of ice. Don't worry, they give you a cosy sleeping bag to keep warm while snuggling up with your loved one.

Grand Hotel Reykjavik

What's more romantic than bringing your loved one an experience that only a few people in the entire world have witnessed? When you stay at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik, you can watch the northern lights from the uppermost floor. The hotel was recommended by Brenna Holeman from This Battered Suitcase.

Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea, Jordan

Candice Walsh from Candice Does the World says this is her favorite hotel in the entire world. She loves the seemingly endless pools and gorgeous restaurants with endless buffet options and attentive staff.

Her favorite moment from the visit was watching the sunset while sitting in a bowl shaped infinity pool overlooking the Dead Sea.
