  • Johnnie Walker is the most popular brand of whisky today... and apparently that's true in 2049 too since they've partnered with the new movie, Blade Runner 2049. To celebrate their inclusion in the movie, the brand has released a limited edition "Johnnie Walker Black Label The Director's Cut" bottle and sent in these fun futuristic cocktails as well.

  • The mountains of North Carolina have a rich tradition of producing whiskey and frankly trying new things to produce a unique product that other distillers may consider unconventional. While it is unlikely that you'll ever be able to hike out in the woods and see how illicit moonshine is made, this is the next best thing... maybe even better!

  • We've teamed up with our friends at Bacardi to offer you guys a chance to attend the 2017 Holiday Bowl in San Diego (transportation is not included) so you can take the OAKHEART Challenge... Read on for more details!

  • The start of a new year is always exciting. Somehow you've managed to survive another year and hopefully you've learned a few things along the way. That's certainly true for me and while we're already 8% of the way into the year, that means that we have 92% of the year left to do amazing things with incredible people. Here are some of the things I'm looking forward to in 2016...

  • If you’ve spent any time in a high-end bar or club, then you’re probably aware that Grey Goose is a brand that essentially invented the ultra-premium vodka market. It was conceived for United States consumers in 1996 by the genius promoter, Sidney Frank, the man behind the success of Jägermeister. The story of a completely new product coming out of nowhere, made popular by celebrities, and bearing a premium price-tag have led many to label Grey Goose a gimmick, or even a scam.
  • As you've probably figured out, I love my margaritas - simply put, the touch of sweetness from agave nectar and the citrus bite of is one of the most refreshing flavors you can find. Unfortunately, you can't always take margaritas with you since traditionally it involves tequila and that means it isn't available in all the same places as your favorite beer. With Cayman Jack though, since it is a "malt beverage" it's available nationwide in select grocery, convenience, and liquor stores in areas where hard alcohol is prohibited.

  • With June 21 and the Summer Solstice fast approaching you can expect longer days, warmer weather and more social gatherings than anyone has time to plan for. We know you'll need every edge you can get to take advantage of the coming increase in summer events, so let's get started!

Tonight's the night to brush up on your mixology skills and transport guests from your backyard to cities around the world all in one night.

  • Rum and Bourbon drinks are synonymous with Mardi Gras, but what about our good friends from Mexico?

Hornitos sent in these fun tequila cocktail recipes to help us celebrate!

  • Everyone is searching for something new these days and classics like Grand Marnier are no different. While the bottle for the recently launched GM Titanium draws from the classic look, it thrusts itself forward into a modern and sleek package that boasts of an almost iridescent metallic, silver... titanium? finish.

With that initial presence, we were excited to take it for a spin and see where this new spirit can bring us!

  • You've been to beer fests and wine festivals but there aren't that many spirits festivals that are open to the public unfortunately. If you are a fan of spirits and craft cocktails it seems that you're passion is best explored at a bar buying expensive cocktails and new liquors only to find out that you made an expensive mistake and are forced to either finish or let it go to waste.

The San Diego Spirits Festival on the other hand offers new as well as seasoned fans a chance to explore spirits brand new to the market as well as celebrate with friends over tasters of familiar friends like Don Julio, Stoli, and Woodford Reserve.

  • Happy National Rum Day! It seems like there is a "national _____ day" just about every time we turn around, but when it comes to something as delicious as aged rum we really don't mind! The nice folks over at Bacardi sent over a bottle of their new 8 Anos rum to help us celebrate and we hope you can get in the mood too with their recipe for "Old Cuban".

  • Some love Laphroaig as the flag bearer for Islay Single Malt Scotches because they love the peaty, smokey, almost overpowering flavor profile and other's don't. But this is certainly a unique manly spirit that I like to celebrate as part of my personal collection. The folks at Laphroaig know that I have been a long time fan of the various releases (especially the Laphroaig Triple Wood released last year) so they shared their latest with me as well, Laphroaig Select!

  • How much you know about Jägermeister's history and origins? Let's find out more about this unique spirit...
