  • With summer nearly here, chances are that you're going to be going out hiking and biking a lot more over the next few months. In an ideal world, we'd all have a chance to do a proper cleanup job after coming back in from the trail. However, aside from a quick hands and face wash, the most visually important part is making sure your hair looks great! Here's some tips to help keep you looking good this summer.

  • Relationships are tricky and sometimes things don't work out. It might be "her fault" or yours, but if you think it's worth having another go at it then here are some tips to make it happen. Winning your girlfriend back or recovering from a marriage separation isn't easy and it will ultimately take time, but here's some tips to start the process.

  • What's a "sports truck" you ask? For me, it's just like how a sports car is designed to go faster and turn quicker so you can do stuff others can't - this truck can go places and do things other trucks will never be able to. It's also designed for the person who doesn't simply want a "practical" vehicle. They want something that is an object of desire and affection. It's a vehicle that you instinctively crave from the moment your eyes first lock onto it. That's exactly what the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is... and I'm hooked!

  • Genoa, Nevada is a perfect town to visit for any guys looking for a taste of what the west was like before being tamed. If you venture just around the corner from the Mormon Station and Nevada's oldest bar though, you'll find one of the finest foodie spots in Nevada. The Pink House seemingly doesn't fit here but at the same time it works perfectly. Not only is the building itself one of the oldest structures in Genoa but it was about striking out into unfamiliar territory and trying new things. That's exactly what you'll find here today...

  • People say that soccer is a boring sport, but despite my love for baseball it has soccer beat. Sure, there are moments of extreme action but I feel like many times when we jump up in our seats to cheer it's because we are so bored that we simply need to do something to avoid falling asleep. Never fear though! I've spent hundreds of hours attending baseball games and here's a few of my tricks to avoid boredom at a baseball game...

  • If you are planning a guys weekend getaway to explore Carson Valley, Nevada I can't think of a more perfect basecamp than the Carson Valley Inn and Casino. The prices are low, atmosphere is fun, friendly and it is perfectly located to explore all that the area has to offer.

  • Fogo de Chao is hands down one of my favorite restaurants. Not only do you get a never-ending parade of meats but the place is fun and imaginative when it comes to creating seasonal updates to the menu. We were invited to check out their new Spring Menu this week, so how could I resist when it includes three new cocktails to try!

  • Everyone has at least one car they would love to own, or at least find themselves behind the wheel of. I have about 100 cars I would like to own, and the 2018 Aston Martin DB11 V8 is one of those vehicles. The DB11 is not practical, economical and certainly not inexpensive. This car drips chic and distinction. Driving this car turned out to be one of my road-going highlights of the past 12 months. The performance and grand touring road experience make this coupe a very livable exotic piece.

  • While online gaming is forbidden by most US states, there are exceptions such as New Jersey. On February 26, 2013, Governor Chris Christie signed Assembly Bill 2578 and legalized online gambling in New Jersey. Here's what you need to know so you can legally enjoy games like online poker, slots, and table games including blackjack and roulette.

  • The other day I was wandering around my local Ralph's grocery store trying to figure out what to buy for lunch. I was hungry and creative - a combo that tends to be expensive for me. As I wandered through the sauce aisle I realized that nearly every time I buy a bottled sauce I'm disappointed in the flavor, thickness, etc. So I thought to myself, "why can't I make a sauce that matches exactly what I love?" While this sauce ended up turning out great and was ultimately "wife approved", sometimes the journey of creation is exciting in itself. You can always learn from your mistakes, adjust the proportions and make things distinctly YOURS!

  • A couple years ago, I was invited up to Atlantis as part of a sponsored blog campaign but I wasn't able to make it. Since that time though, I'd been intrigued by the Reno casino scene. In many ways, it reminds me of the way Vegas once was. It's a bit raw and gritty but seemed to have retained the fun, whimsical, and approachable nature that lends itself to relaxing with your buddies and throwing caution to the wind in the interest of a fun guys night out.

  • As someone who does a lot of outdoor activities such as riding in UTVs, fishing, and exploring off road trails one of my greatest fears is breaking my phone. Luckily, over the past few years mobile phones and case companies have stepped up to make phones that are far more resilient than they once were. But there's one thing that touch screens will NEVER be able to do well - work with gloves on. That's why I was so excited to check out the Cat S41 phone that they sent me to review. Make no mistake, this isn't your everyday phone for taking to dinner for some food pics - this is the phone you'll take on a hunting trip where you don't want to freak out if it drops in the mud or falls off a tree stand.

  • One of my challenges with managing this site over the past decade is that the concept of a "guys weekend" tends to evoke images of wild, balls to the wall partying when in fact that's just one way to go. As I've gotten older however, I've discovered that many of my friends either choose not to drink, or unfortunately have discovered that they have problems with various substances. This can prove to be challenging initially when planning an awesome getaway, but it doesn't have to.

  • Air Conditioning is an essential part of life nowadays, and anything of real value needs utmost care and attention. Are there hot and cold spots in your air-conditioned room? Do you have pressure imbalance - strange whistling noises, doors closing by themselves, drafty areas - anywhere? Are you getting little to no air coming from your AC? Is your AC blowing warm air? Now that spring is here, it is the perfect time to take a look at your air conditioner and plan for any updates that might be needed - before the summer rush!

  • Finding ways to relax after a hard day at work is something you are probably passionate about. Failing to get a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life can lead to overwhelming amounts of stress. For some men, sitting back in a comfortable chair and smoking a high-quality cigar is their idea of a good time.

  • There are some awesome long-distance bicycle routes in the US that you can try out this spring and summer. To complete these routes you must be an advanced cyclist with proper training.

  • March has begun and that means that it is unofficially Irish Heritage month - even if that's mostly celebrated by St Patrick's Day traditions such as green beer and leprechauns as well as more palatable ones such as a corned beef and cabbage dinner.  Variations on the classic corned beef and cabbage recipes have been what I've eaten for St. Patrick's Day for the past 30+ years, so it's time to try something new and explore Irish culture a bit while doing so.

  • Miles Per Gallon is probably one of the biggest selling points for cars today. Even though fuel prices are lower now that they were just a few years ago, we all know it won't stay that way forever. To solve that problem, American manufacturers have focused primarily on EV and hybrid platforms but there's a third option that Chevy presented to me - diesel. When they first challenged me to test out the Cruze Hatch Diesel I nearly declined their offer. After all, my experience with diesel engines was good in terms of hauling loads... but at the sacrifice of peppy performance, especially the ability to accelerate quickly and pass people on the highway. Then they asked if I'd like to do a road trip from San Diego to Scottsdale for some Spring Training Baseball and I simply wasn't able to pass up that invitation.

  • When traveling, there's little that I hate more than running out of power. Despite strides made by hotels, airports, and trains - a place to charge devices still seems illusive. That's why I was so excited to check out the latest Portable Power Outlet that the folks at myCharge sent me to review. It has nearly everything you could need including a huge 20,000 mha battery, AC Power outlet, 2 USB A and 1 USB C port.
