  • When it comes to improving our health, it can be a challenge since results often take weeks, months or years. Sometimes, the "result" is simply that nothing happens... that you avoided an issue. This often results in any efforts ending prematurely or never beginning at all, despite our best intentions. Don't worry though, here's our tips to help improve your health that will show results (almost) immediately.

  • I love mentoring small business owners and helping them grow. Unfortunately, some will succeed and some will fail but entrepreneurs manifest the power of unbridled innovation. This only limiting factors preventing success are often marketing and mentorship. The internet has provided all of us a marketplace for connecting with consumers, yet few people are actually good at making, marketing, and selling. That's where IndieDoGood.com comes in.

  • Trucks are awesomely powerful machines and the embodiment of testosterone in many ways... they can be chic, smooth, and luxurious... or they can be brutish and able to tackle any object in front of them. They can also be anything in between those two bookends and that's the message from Nissan. The Titan is one of my favorite trucks because while it isn't the biggest or the fanciest that doesn't matter. It's got a great platform, a smooth ride, and the seats are super comfortable even after hours on the road. I think that's why I really like the program that they've been doing over the past year or so with their "Titan Adventures" and the their "Lifestyle Concept" trucks (and SUVs). Their latest is the awesomely fun Titan Surf Camp, based on a Nissan Titan XD but designed to be the ULTIMATE beach truck. We've seen it a few times recently but they actually let me drive it around San Diego this time and we had a blast playing with it.

  • There are plenty of ways we - as a race - are contributing to damaging the environment. And in many ways, it seems easy to put the blame on governments, populations, and corporations.

However, if we all focused on improving our daily habits at home, we could make a significant difference. And no matter what side of the climate change debate you reside in, the simple fact is that being greener in the home is going to end up cheaper.

  • Over the years I've gotten a HUGE number of kitchen gadgets to try and test out for review or simply just provide my thoughts on. Some are good... some are bad. Others seem really cool but ultimately ended up sitting on my countertop collecting dust... or put back in a box despite being generally good at what they were designed to do. That's why I've put together this gear guide of essential kitchen gadgets that every guy needs in his collection. If you are the kind of guy who doesn't like to cook then stop reading now... the rest of you, let's take a look!

  • The desert is an amazing place to explore - on road as well as off. Despite the fact that some people might think it is dead and desolate, this is an environment that is incredibly dynamic. Dangers as well as beauty can pop up at any moment and disappear just as quickly. One of these dangers is sudden dust storms or sandstorms. They are most common in the deserts of North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula but also in parts of the United States including California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.

While American sand storms are often smaller in size than what might be experienced in the Saharan Desert, the danger to motorists can be similar. Here's what to do if you find yourself in a sand storm.

  • Owning a cabin in the woods is a sort of romantic notion when you think about it. Images of everything from rugged frontiersmen to authors like Henry David Thoreau come to mind. Unlike a hotel or condo, your cabin can be an escape where you don't have to see another person for days if you don't want to. Our lives today keep getting faster and faster, so being able to have that retreat spot in mind can help keep us centered and when it comes time to head out into the woods you can fully decompress and enjoy the benefits fully. While that simple ability to escape is good enough for most people, it can actually make a lot of financial sense to buy a cabin too.

  • Riding a bicycle is a fun and eco-friendly way to get around. It's also fun to do. Unfortunately it doesn't come without challenges and dangers. Even the most experienced riders can come off their bike and hurt themselves. If you're riding on the road, the danger of being hit by a vehicle could have even more serious consequences. When you do get into an accident, it's important to know what to do in the aftermath. It can be a shock if you fall or get knocked off your bike, but knowing how to react can make things a little easier. Here's what to do in a bicycle accident.

  • It might be obvious – big knobby tires are better at gripping rugged surfaces than smooth ones. After all, you wouldn't put a pair of racing slicks on your truck and take it out on the trail, would you? The reality though is that for most of us, the right choice of tires is more about balance than absolutes. That's why I really like this set of Grabber A/T X that General Tire sent me to check out.

  • Are you one of those Internet users who think that data leaks, hacker attacks, and cybersecurity are not about you? Do you still believe that your data can't benefit hackers in any way? Then, you're one of those who are likely to get their devices hacked first.

  • Channeling the spirit of Die Hard with some video game era grandeur, Skyscraper won’t be the cultural icon its predecessor was, but it’s a heck of a lot of fun for its hour and fifty minute run time.

  • We all know that proper tire pressure is essential to keeping your daily driver safe and efficient on the road, but it's just as important when off road driving too. However, the difference in this case is that what's correct for the pavement - may not be right for the terrain you're setting out to explore. Since most of my off road adventures have been with a fleet vehicle with tires that quite honestly aren't always ideal for true off roading, I'd never really considered "airing down" or what the proper pressure even should be. My main concern was simply leaving it at the manufacturer's recommended specs. While that's a great theory, it has resulted in multiple situations where I got stuck in sand, lost traction where I might not have with the proper pressure, and of course the dreaded flat tires.

  • The resurgence of interest in Ensenada and the Valle de Guadalupe has brought the culinary adventurers back to Baja. When you start to do a little research to choose where to dine, one name pops up among the talented chefs of the region: Javier Plascencia

Here's some tips to overcome that and impress your date with how much you care for her.
