The possibilities seem endless when it comes to planning the ultimate outdoor adventure and there are plenty of reasons to do it. As we look back on the craziness of the past year though, sometimes you only need one reason - to celebrate simply being alive. I know that as things begin to return to normal again, I'll be seeking out opportunities to see friends again and while big fancy dinners in our favorite cities might be nice... I honestly can't wait to simply get back out on a trail and see some amazing terrain that I haven't been able to do alone this year.

  • Top Aviation Museums Around The World

Aviation museums house some of the coolest collections of humanity's engineering marvels - flying machines, aka airplanes, and everything that led up to the modern airplane. Aviation actually begins far before the invention of the first functioning powered airplane by the Wright brothers in 1903. It includes theoretical and experimental designs beginning with blueprints and proceeding through gliders and balloons before that. Aviation museums include these homages to the early history of man's first dreams of flight. Today, there are literally hundreds of aviation museums around the world and that means that it is very likely that there are aviation museums near you that are perfect for a father and son getaway or even just a regular guys weekend.

  • 10 Unexpected Wine Regions In The US That Guys Love To Visit

Most guys who are new to wine think of iconic destinations like Napa and Sonoma as the places to go for wine. While I am a huge fan of California wines... the reality is that there are great wine regions all over the country. Some such as Lake Michigan Shore have gained prominence in recent years, while others such as the Snake River Valley AVA just west of Boise are lesser-known. What's great about these "undiscovered wine country" getaways is that they tend to be less expensive, more relaxed, and offer other opportunities to build a perfect getaway without making wine the singular focus.

Phoenix in the spring is a pilgrimage destination for all guys (and women) that love baseball. There is simply no better place in the world that you can go to experience the pure joy and excitement of the sport unspoiled by commercialism and the pressures of rankings. For a few weeks, it's just about playing the game and seeing some amazing young talent playing their hearts out along side seasoned veterans serving as their mentors. This is a destination that I try to visit each year, so when the folks at Toyota invited me out to celebrate in the sun with them I excitedly accepted.

  • Tailgate Tips for a Cactus League Spring Training Baseball Game

Spring Training tailgating is different that football tailgates in the fall. • Five Southwest Road Trip Destinations to Cool Off This Summer

It's getting hot and if you are in the Southwest United States, it's going to get a lot hotter over the next few months. • Playing Cowboy and Pioneer Lady at Adobe Grand Villas

Last month we took an amazing journey across the country and before heading home needed a retreat where Heather and I could relax, have fun, and explore Sedona. Sedona Arizona is an interesting place that's a mix of luxury, artist colony, free thinkers, metaphysical arts and people just seeking a weekend escape from life. When Heather found Adobe Grand Villas I was hooked. It's everything that I love in a romantic weekend getaway - privacy, unique and fun.

  • Exploring Colossal Cave Mountain Park in Arizona

It’s not every day that you get to experience something truly different in life. You know, a moment you’ll never forget because of how surreal it was? I was lucky enough to find one of these gem moments recently on a trip to Arizona’s Colossal Cave Mountain Park, roughly 40 minutes southeast of Tucson. If I told you to imagine being taken on a journey through crystal laden chasms deep in the earth then later hiking though forest rich with saguaro cactus, you might be asking what planet I’m talking about. But with such an adventure being very real, I’ll share with you why Colossal Cave Mountain Park is worth a visit and why I’ll be going back again soon.

  • Wrigley Field South - Cubs Park Spring Training Baseball in Mesa AZ

While the Cubs are the perennial underdogs, having not won a World Series in over 100 years, their home in Chicago is one of the most iconic sports stadiums in the whole world. In previous years, the Cubs have played at Hohokam Stadium, shared with the Oakland A's but this year they opened up the season at their very own stadium "Cubs Park", affectionately referred to as "Wrigley Field South".

As someone who has enjoyed numerous games at Wrigley I can say that even though it is someone that should be on the bucket list for any sorts fan, the park is an absolute dump. From obstructed views to cramped bathrooms and nets installed to keep concrete from falling on people's heads it is one of those places that should probably just be shut down - if it wasn't for the antique charm and sense of history that radiates from every square inch of the facility.

  • Guys Weekend at Talking Stick Resort & Casino

Scottsdale Arizona is a fantastic destination for a mancation and while we visited here for Cactus League Spring Training - especially since it is right next to Salt River Fields, it is a solid year-round destination.

There is obviously no shortage of world-class resorts in Scottsdale, Arizona and so it might be tough to decide which one will be the perfect spot for your next mancation.

Talking stick is a 4 diamond casino resort that has an on-property golf course, walking distance to the latest Top Golf location, an entertainment venue with acts ranging from Rob Thomas and Collective Soul to Dennis Miller and Tim Allen. It is also home to the Arizona State Poker Championship and if that isn't enough - even cool enough that even NFL Players want to take their buddies here for a round of golf as I found out during a twitter conversation with Philadelphia Eagles veteran,Mark McMillian.
