NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 8, 2010) – As college basketball fans flock to Nashville for the upcoming 2010 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, the Grand Ole Opry, the show that made country music famous, will welcome them with a special College Basketball Night on Saturday, March 13.
“No trip to Nashville is complete without a visit to the Grand Ole Opry,” said Dan Rogers, senior marketing manager for the Grand Ole Opry. “As the tournament schedule doesn’t feature a Saturday night game, the Opry is an ideal experience giving visitors a true taste of Music City. We’ve got a great line-up that offers something for everyone, plus some fun things planned for basketball fans.”
Among those confirmed to appear on the Opry March 13 (two shows will be held at 7 and 9:30 p.m.) are American Idol finalist Danny Gokey, Joe Diffie, new hitmaker David Nail, Academy of Country Music Awards nominee for Top New Vocal Duo Steel Magnolia, and more.
