Visiting the "South of France" is sort of the epitome of the ultimate romantic getaway, but what about a getaway with the guys? Recently we had the chance to meet with some folks from the France Tourism Development Agency and we were impressed by just how much stuff there is to do year round in Nice and within a quick drive of downtown.

Just like a trip to Vegas, your Nice lads holiday can be a fantasy time where you can pretend to be a part of the "Rich and Famous" from driving a supercar, staying in some of the world best hotels, and sipping some of France's finest wines from the back of a chartered yacht as it rocks gently in the warm blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

So, let's start here - there are beaches in Nice and yes many French beaches feature topless women, but they also play host to an incredible selection of bars and nightclubs!

As you would expect, Nice has its share of some of the finest boutique hotels in the world, including the Hotel La Perouse.

But there are also more familiar brands ranging from Sofitel to Best Western.

Skiing and Winter Sports

Think that Nice is just for summer fun? Think again - less than two hours from downtown are several world-class ski resorts including Auron ... or as our host half-joked "only 30-minutes by helicopter".  

Soccer

Nice is home to one of the most advanced and newest soccer stadiums in the world - the Allianz Riviera stadium is a multipurpose venue for soccer ("Football" as our European friends call it!) and Rugby.

Cars and Auto Racing

Nice is situated only a few miles east of Monaco so it is a great place to stay if you are in town for the Monaco GP.
