# Five Times When Buying Views on YouTube Videos Can Be the Right Choice *By James Hills — Updated November 2026* Buying views on YouTube videos makes sense for a handful of jobs, from roasting a buddy's fishing fail to giving his 50th birthday video a crowd that fits the party. Five of those uses are laid out here, along with what to know before buying likes or views on any platform. **Questions****How To Film A Fishing Fail Clip The Whole Group Will Rewatch****Article Index** Bought views only help a clip that is fun to watch, so the filming matters more than the order size. - **Keep the phone rolling** - The best fails happen in the five seconds after a cast or a hookset, so start recording before the moment, not after it. - **Shoot horizontal for full videos** - Turn the phone sideways for a regular upload and hold it vertical only when the plan is to post it as a Short. - **Cut it tight** - Trim the dead air at the front so the splash, the snapped rod or the lost net shows up in the first few seconds. - **Name the guy in the title** - "Dave Meets Lake Erie" reads funnier in the group chat than "Fishing Trip Day 2." - **Pick the splash frame for the thumbnail** - YouTube lets you choose or upload a custom thumbnail, and the mid-fall frame sells the video. 1. [Twicsy](https://twicsy.com/) is one of the services selling YouTube views, along with likes and followers for Instagram and TikTok. ## Five Times Buying YouTube Views Is the Right Call Each of these works because the number itself is the joke, the gift or the bragging rights, so nobody is counting on the views to turn into subscribers. ### Roast Your Buddy's Fishing Fail With 5,000 Views He Did Not Earn Most fishing weekends with the guys produce at least one clip someone saves: the guy who stepped off the dock instead of onto the boat, or the one who set the hook so hard the walleye flew over his head. Then it gets posted and sits at 14 views. ### What To Expect on Your First Viking River Cruise Here's what to expect on your first Viking River cruise through Europe including a personal experience exploring Christmas Markets along the Rhine. If the clip came from a [walleye trip on Lake Erie](https://www.mantripping.com/stuff/first-time-walleye-fishing-on-lake-erie.html), put the lake in the title. ### Settle a Group Chat Argument With a Views Race Between Two Trip Videos Two guys cut their own edits of the same trip, one leaning on the cabin in the Smoky Mountains and one on the golf day in Myrtle Beach, and each swears his is better. Top up the video that is behind until both counters match, then let a week go by. Whichever video gains more views from that even start wins, and the loser buys the first round on the next trip. ## Man Gear Pick of the Month September's Pick Amazon (affiliate) ### LiberNovo Maxis Electric Big and Tall Ergonomic Office Chair, Graphite 52cm Why we picked it: a grill you can actually carry to the campsite, the tailgate or the cabin without borrowing a truck. A video that shows 5,000 views when it goes up on the screen tends to get a bigger reaction than one stuck at 37. It also hands the best man or the guy giving the toast a line: "More people have watched this video than are in this room" only works when the counter backs it up. Split across five friends, a 5,000-view order runs about $5 a guy. ### Keep a New Hobby Channel From Looking Abandoned While You Decide Whether To Stick With It A guy who starts posting brisket cooks, fly-tying sessions or old-truck restoration videos usually does not know yet whether he will still be posting by month three. Meanwhile the first uploads sit at 11 views, and the channel looks abandoned to anyone who stumbles onto it. A few thousand views on the first two or three uploads keeps the channel from looking empty while he figures out whether the hobby has legs. Keep it in proportion: a few thousand views fits a new channel, and 50,000 on a channel with 12 subscribers draws the wrong kind of attention. ### Put a Big Number on Your Hole-in-One or Personal-Best Fish for Bragging Rights Most guys get one or two clips they will show people for the next ten years: the hole-in-one at the club scramble, the personal-best smallmouth, the half-court shot at the Y. A five-figure view count on that one video is pure bragging rights. Place the order the night you upload it, so the count is already climbing by the time the link goes out to the group chat and the guys from the club. ## What To Know Before Buying Likes or Views on Any Platform The same basics apply whether the order is YouTube views, Instagram likes or TikTok followers. - **Order ahead of the reveal** - Orders usually start quickly but fill in over hours or a day, so place them the day before the party or the get-together. - **Expect a few to fall off** - Some views and likes disappear later as accounts come and go, which is why sellers offer refill guarantees. - **Never hand over a password** - A legitimate seller needs only the link, and the account has to be public for the order to go through. - **Start small** - Try the smallest package on one video first to see how the count behaves before ordering anything bigger. - **Expect the counter to move, not the comments** - Bought views and likes raise the number without bringing comments or subscribers along. ### Buying Views Is Not the Same as Advertising, but the Results Can Look Alike Running ads is a different thing: you pay the platform to put the video in front of people. I have friends who target their ads to foreign countries where likes and views cost pennies, which gets close to what view sellers charge, and the result is about the same. If you aren't targeting the right audience, you can't expect them to respond with authentic engagement, whether the views came from an ad or a package. But if you're doing this as a vanity experiment or just to have fun, buying views is something to consider. ## Screenshot the Counter at Its Peak So the Joke or the Gift Survives Most of these uses pay off when someone first sees the number. Grab a screenshot of the counter at its peak and post that in the group chat or put it on the slide before the toast, so the proof holds up even if the count settles a little afterward. Outside a new hobby channel's first few uploads or a views race, buy for one video at a time and put the whole order on the best clip of the year, not ten small orders on ten ordinary ones.
