# Dreo's ChefMaker Combi Fryer Takes Air Fryers To The Next Level *By James Hills — Updated August 2024* I love gadgets and I love cooking up tasty recipes ... sometimes though I just want to make a quick meal for myself with as little effort as possible. This has lead me on a quest to find the perfect airfryer. What I've found over the past couple years is that quite honestly - it's a "Goldilocks" type situation ... too small, too bulky, not powerful enough, everything has tradeoffs that make it less than perfect. However, I'm absolutely in love with my latest machine - the Dreo ChefMaker Combi Fryer does everything I like, gives great feedback, is easy to use and not unimportantly .. it looks good on my kitchen counter too! **Questions****Key Points****Article Index** ** No answer selected. This versatile device promises to revolutionize your cooking routine with its multifunctional capabilities and user-friendly interface. But does it live up to the hype? You'll want to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making your decision. From its spacious capacity to its potential drawbacks, there's much to investigate about this innovative kitchen gadget. Let's take a closer look at what the Dreo ChefMaker Combi Fryer has to offer and whether it's the right fit for your culinary needs. ## Modern Design and Tech Features Innovation meets functionality in the Dreo ChefMaker Combi Fryer's design. You'll appreciate its sleek, cube-like shape that fits seamlessly into your kitchen aesthetic. With a 6.8-quart capacity, it's perfect for preparing meals for your family or smaller portions when you're dining solo. It is clear that this was a cooking appliance designed by a tech company and not just an appliance manufacturer trying to make it fit in with other practical looking small kitchen appliances. ### Bachelor Party Cruise Idea: Caribbean Rum Tour Plan the ultimate rum-themed bachelor party cruise to the Caribbean, featuring distillery tours, private tastings, and onboard experiences at iconic destinations like Mount Gay and Appleton Estate. The ChefMaker's digital touchscreen interface puts you in control, offering over 44 preset cooking programs at your fingertips. You'll find it easy to navigate and program numerous recipes, making you feel like a pro in the kitchen. Or you can use the app to not just monitor the progress by also set the cooking mode, look up recipes etc. The compact design, measuring 10.59 x 15.67 x 14.65 inches and weighing 15.36 pounds, also guarantees it won't overwhelm your countertop. However, this is the only area where I have real disappointment ... it's not Dreo's fault. This is a machine that is PERFECT for a mancave or home bar ... think of it like an autochef, more than a cooker ready to whip up enough pork chops to feed the guys during half time. ## Man Gear Pick of the Month September's Pick Amazon (affiliate) ### Kenyon City Grill Portable Stainless Steel Electric Grill Why we picked it: a grill you can actually carry to the campsite, the tailgate or the cabin without borrowing a truck. Till then though, we're pretty darn happy with it's ability to turn frozen tots into tasty treats, create buffalo cauliflower bites, reheat left  overs, and it is the first time I've been able to do a pork chop properly in an air fryer. This is in part because it not only has a great cooking element that is capable of delivering precise even heating - like an air sous vide - but it can also deliver a knock out punch at the end to give a nice sear to the meat as well.  Unlike most other air fryers, it also has a water tank for steam infusion, expanding its cooking possibilities. This helps to keep food moist rather than drying out when it cooks.  ## Cooking Performance and Versatility When you fire up the [Dreo ChefMaker Combi Fryer](https://amzn.to/3WYaF0Q), you'll immediately notice its impressive cooking performance. The Rapid Air Technology and convection heating system work together to guarantee your meals are cooked evenly and crispy, elevating your culinary creations to new heights. I love the versatility this appliance offers, with its wide temperature range from 180°F to 400°F allowing you to air fry, roast, and bake with ease. One of the standout features is the temperature probe, which lets you achieve perfectly cooked proteins every time. You'll never have to worry about overdone chicken or undercooked steak again. The ChefMaker's smart features, like its quick 3-minute preheating time and ability to reduce cooking times by up to 30%, make meal prep a breeze. Whether you're whipping up a weeknight dinner or reheating leftovers, this appliance has got you covered. The point here is that unlike most other air fryers, combi fryer, multi cookers, and kitchen gadgets that I've tested in the past ... Dreo's ChefMaker is about more than just merely setting a temperature and letting the timer run. It's actually monitoring the process, keeping the temperature steady, and making it easy for you to peer inside with the glass front and cooking light so you can monitor the progress. Plus, you can also use the app to monitor the progress as well. In my case this means that I can sit on the couch or work on writing another blog post from my office (where I wouldn't be able to hear the timer beep) and I can check the progress on my phone to know when it's ready. ## This Is A Must For Tailgates and Mancaves! You'll find the [Dreo ChefMaker Combi Fryer to be a versatile kitchen powerhouse](https://amzn.to/3WYaF0Q). It's packed with features that'll streamline your cooking process, from its spacious capacity to its numerous preset programs. While it might take up some counter space and make a bit of noise, you'll likely appreciate its time-saving capabilities and user-friendly interface. If you're looking for a multi-functional appliance that offers great value, this combi fryer's worth considering for your kitchen arsenal. I love it! It's absolutely a must have cooking gadget for any home bar, mancave, or even tailgating if you have a place to plug it in. The only two things that I wish were better are the price - it's listed for $359 which isn't terrible for what it does (and there are very aggressive sale prices that make it even more reasonable), and the other issue is I wish it were bigger. If I could put 4 pork chops in there or enough fried shrimp for a bunch of guys to enjoy at half time then this would be the perfect cooking gadget.  It is still good though and not everyone needs to feed a football team, so for quickly preparing some healthy keto-friendly meals or "frying" up a couple chicken legs without the mess and fuss of throwing it on a frying pan ... this is a great option!
