# GrillBox 2.0 Review: Solid Build, Assembly Frustrations, and Why I Still Recommend It *By James Hills — Updated December 2025* The GrillBox 2.0 solves a problem most of us ignore until we're staring at a pile of dusty tongs and crusty spatulas come spring - proper storage for grilling gear. Built from 18-gauge steel with 360-degree wheels, this outdoor storage unit keeps everything organized and protected year-round.   **How To Buy GrillBox 2.0****Why the GrillBox Earns Its Spot****Review Index** The [GrillBox 2.0](https://thegrillboxcompany.com/products/the-grillbox) is available directly from The GrillBox Company at the MSRP of $399 for the base unit, Cutting Board, and Cover sold separately, and you can also buy it on [Amazon.com](https://www.amazon.com/GRILLBOX-Outdoor-Grilling-Storage-Unit/dp/B0FLZWPZF5?&linkCode=ll1&tag=mantr0c-20&linkId=3a6779081a62c1ce7abc9649b2259c1e&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl).  Finally, a dedicated home for all that grilling gear that otherwise ends up scattered across your garage, shed, or patio table. - Keeps spatulas, tongs, and accessories protected from bugs, animals, and the elements instead of just laying around getting dirty. - 18-gauge steel construction means this unit will outlast the cheap plastic bins you've been using. - Roll it out to the patio in spring, roll it back to the garage for winter - 360-degree wheels make seasonal transitions easy. - Adjustable shelves with five slots per side let you configure storage around your actual gear, not someone else's idea of what you need. - The built-in bottle opener acknowledges what we all know - long cooks and cold beer go together like brisket and coarse black pepper. 1. At 25 inches wide, 35.5 inches tall, and 15 inches deep, it's sized to sit alongside your grill without dominating the patio. ### Kenmore 4-Burner Gas Grill Review: Serious Searing Power Kenmore 4-Burner Gas Grill with Side Searing Burner review: a $599 stainless grill that out-sears pricier rivals. Bolt-action door handles secure everything against weather, and the water-resistant design keeps your tools and supplies protected. Inside, you'll find two adjustable shelves with five mounting slots on each side, three spice racks sized for standard BBQ rub containers, and hooks on the inside doors for hanging utensils. A full-length towel handle runs along the side for easy access during cooks, and yes, there's a bottle opener because long cooks demand cold beer. ## From Off-Season Storage to Spring-Ready in Seconds Here's where the GrillBox really proved its value for me. It's winter, and for most of us, the grilling season is over - but that doesn't always mean your stuff is safely organized and put away. I got ahead of the curve when I set mine up, and it's the perfect thing for keeping stuff together rather than just letting them sit around, get dirty, or have bugs and animals crawl on my spatulas and tongs while in storage. ## Man Gear Pick of the Month September's Pick Amazon (affiliate) ### Kenyon City Grill Portable Stainless Steel Electric Grill Why we picked it: a grill you can actually carry to the campsite, the tailgate or the cabin without borrowing a truck. Stainless, no propane tank to wrestle, and hot enough to cook for four guys rather than reheat for one. When the weather warms up, just roll it out to your patio. The two locking wheels keep it stable during cooking, while the other two allow easy repositioning. Check out their [accessories page](https://thegrillboxcompany.com/collections/accessories) for add-ons like the cutting board and cover. ## The Pricing Problem and an Assembly Headache I'll be direct about a couple of frustrations. First, I think the basic GrillBox unit should be priced at $499 rather than $399 with the Cutting Board and Cover sold separately. Those pieces feel indispensable - if you're leaving this unit out during summer months, you need a way to keep it clean from rain, sap, and bugs, just like you would your grill itself. The cutting board fits the exact dimensions, and the unit has braces that stick up awkwardly without it. The $399 basic box feels incomplete and if you're trying to create a premium product, you need to do it right. Second, the assembly experience. The instructions were convoluted, incomplete, and honestly I gave up a couple times. Ultimately, I just used my intuition and managed to figure it out, but that's not the experience I want when paying for a product like this. Maybe saving a couple hundred bucks is more important to you, but I'd rather pay more for something that arrived ready to use. I'm not a guy who's handy with putting stuff together - anything more than IKEA is just not how I want to spend a day in the garage. ## GrillBox Is My Grilling Sidekick Going Into 2026! Don't think my criticism is anything other than my own personal experience with a frustrating assembly (I should have called my handiman). When built, this is a great product and the perfect gift for any guy who loves to grill. At 90 pounds, it's sturdy enough to handle serious gear without tipping. I can't wait to use it as my grilling sidekick in 2026.
