If you haven't been before, this classic motor car extravaganza weekend gathers over 300 of the most elite car collections from around the world atop the bluffs of La Jolla Cove at the Ellen Browning Scripps Park. La Jolla means "The Jewel" in Spanish and we couldn't think of a more fitting place to experience these incredible vehicles than outdoor, overlooking the Pacific Ocean while surrounded by some of the most luxurious real estate in the world. While we know that there will be some amazing classic cars and modern luxury as well as sports cars, it's always a thrill to walk by something you've never seen before.

Some cars are made for hauling kids to soccer practice and other cars are meant to be fun while still being practical.

The Mazda 3 four-door that I had a chance to check out falls squarely in that category - though to be fair, it does have a back seat and you could zoom your kids to school in it and be among the coolest parents in the drop-off line! Mazda probably isn't at the top of your list when it comes to being a "cool brand" and for me, the last time I experienced "Mazda" it was essentially producing rebadged Fords (and Ford wasn't what it is today).

When I found when I slipped into the Mazda 3 was a spectacular car that was uniquely fitting the marketing message that Mazda has been putting out.

The joy of a new car is something that most people only get to experience every few years, but as a blogger that thrill still exists even though I am privileged to be able to check out a new car at least once a month. That means that over the past few years I've had the pleasure of checking out some amazing cars and even though the feeling of getting a new car is only short lived it still gives me a new car face each time the next car is dropped off at my house!

Luxury car probably isn't what comes to mind when you think about the Kia brand - but I just drove a car that has changed my perception of one of my favorite auto companies. The K900 is their flagship vehicle and while I feel like there were some things I didn't care for, my complaints are sort of like bitching about my ice cream being too creamy or my down pillow being too soft. This is a car that if they are able to continue to evolve it should have everyone from Lexus to Mercedes and BMW concerned. It is a great car that illustrates just how far this "upstart" Korean company has come from one known as creating cheap cars for kids to now a world-class luxury car that fully loaded clocks it at almost $70,000!

Way back in the day, "insurance" used to be something I chuckled at when they asked me if I wanted it. Things changed after I had a couple cracked screens including one that broke less than a week after I got it. While insurance is still something that I'd recommend people consider as an option on their electronics, the screen has become less of an issue for me over the past few years since I've been protected by something called "Corning® Gorilla® Glass". While I haven't stopped dropping my phones and the paint hasn't stopped scratching off, the screens have resisted breaking - something I can't say for two of my tablets that didn't contain this "magical" technology.
