Sure, the weather is great outside right now, but that doesn't mean that now isn't the time to start planning for the winter snow that is just around the corner. Bummer, yeah I know!
Winter is a period when time slows down and laziness sets in. It can be easy to blame your laziness on the weather and kick back and stay indoors but your body is not going to be easy on you just because it’s cold outside. We often sit through the season and find ourselves completely out of shape at the end of winter. Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. Winter can be a great opportunity to engage in an activity that you usually won’t be able to indulge in.

For the past several years, I have been a loyal subscriber and frankly a fan of Netflix. It was the first really solid response that answered those who pleaded for a genuine, legal alternative to pirating movies and TV shows. Today, it has grown from a dumping ground for "old stuff" into a first rate producer of quality original content that rivals anything found on traditional TV channels. July 1st is my father-in-law's birthday and even though computers and streaming video is something that isn't among his most comfortable skills I'm giving him a subscription to Netflix and a Roku to play it on.
You really don't need ten reasons why Netflix makes a great gift but I went through their catalogue to help him find stuff I know he will love to watch! The tough part was limiting my choices to just ten selections.
BTW, this is not a sponsored post. I just love Netflix and am excited to give him something that I know he will love.

Father's Day is over for this year, but that doesn't mean a dad's day is over - just like the ladies like to say that mom's deserve more than just one day - we both do. Men in our society have a tough position - we are supposed to be the rugged protectors, breadwinners, warriors but also the optimistic guardians of our family and treasure. This isn't to diminish what our better halfs also go through, but it's important to not just celebrate our roles one day each year but to appreciate and respect the challenges that we face throughout the year. This goes not just for "dad" but for all men living in a family since even for those without children the roles are similar.

Raise your hand if you'll be taking a road trip this year. Probably most of you reading are planning a trip with the family or maybe out with the guys and you've likely thought about the importance of checking your oil before you go but it's also critical to consider the part that actually keeps you on the road and safely between the lines. Yup, that's right - I'm talking about your tires!

American muscle power aint dead yet! While we live in an age where EVs and MPGs are what seems to be in demand, it's ironic that Dodge has chosen this moment in time to go full bore into an effort to deliver some of the most exceptionally powerful cars on the market. This trend is completely counter-intuitive with gas prices that while temporarily down, will almost certainly go back up. That's not what this car is about though. It is about RAW POWER - but also surprisingly practical too as we found on our road trip across the desert to Vegas from San Diego.
Let's get the stats out of the way first - this car is FAST! With a 6.4-Liter V8 SRT HEMI providing 485 horses delivering 475 LB-FT torque it has WAY more power than anyone ever needs, knocks you back in the seat, and it delivers that satisfying roar that makes you know you are part of an elite club of owners. Despite that power, the challenger Scat Pack is still able to get 14 city / 23 highway (the SXT with V6 gets 19/30), which honestly is pretty impressive for something this big and powerful.
With a top speed of 182-mph and a 0-60 mph time in the low 4 seconds, this car probably costs close to a $100k right? NO! It unbelievably is affordable starting at just under $40,000 ...
