UGREEN cracked the code on cross-platform tracking tags - seamless Google Find Hub integration, USB-C charging, and dual-platform flexibility in a four-pack that works out of the box with zero subscription fees. - Native Google Find Hub integration means you can locate tagged items through voice commands via Google Home - no third-party app required. - USB-C rechargeable battery lasts up to 12 months on a single charge, eliminating the disposable battery cycle that plagues most trackers. - Works with both iOS (Apple Find My) and Android (Google Find Hub), giving mixed-device households real flexibility with one purchase. - No subscription fees for global tracking - the tag leverages the existing Apple and Google device networks at no ongoing cost. - Privacy is handled through end-to-end encryption certified by both Apple and Google, with no location data stored on the device. 1. On the Android side, innovation largely stalled once Apple created the AirTag - an undeniably great product backed by a network of over a billion devices that makes tracking feel almost magical. The way iPhones are configured makes them ideal for building that kind of network, and it's left competitors scrambling. Samsung has solid hardware but lacks the network density. Brands like Pebblebee brought decent tech but never delivered consistent real-world performance. Most third-party tags still required proprietary apps that created confusion and rarely played well with the only network I care about - Google Find Hub. Google's network has improved significantly though. I can now reliably say "Hey Google, where's my wallet" and get an actual answer. But even with that progress, most trackers I've tested still rely on their own software instead of integrating natively with Find Hub. ### Kuwait Travel Guide: What to See and Do On Your Next Guys Trip Men's guide to Kuwait: Authentic Middle Eastern culture without Dubai crowds. Worth noting - you'll see these listed as "Finder Duo" on Amazon, but the official product name is Finder Duo. Honestly, I expected them to fall flat like most Android trackers I've tested. But UGREEN has consistently impressed me with products like their [DH2300](stuff/ugreen-dh2300-review.html) and [DXP4800 Plus NAS devices](stuff/ugreen-nasync-dxp4800-plus-review.html) along with their chargers, so I had reason for optimism. These just worked. I pressed the button, my phone detected the tag through Google Find Hub, and within seconds everything was paired and tracking. No manual, no troubleshooting. That kind of frictionless setup is rare in this category. ## Google Home Found My Man Sack - And That Changed Everything Here's where it gets good. I wear what I call a "man purse" instead of a traditional wallet - something I started carrying on cruises to hold essentials, and now I use it daily instead of stuffing pockets and forgetting things. When setting up the tags, I named mine "Man Sack" because sometimes you just have to commit to the bit. Back home, I told Heather to check this out. "Hey Google, where's my man sack?" Heather and Jim both burst out laughing, but Google delivered the exact location including the street address, then made the tag ring so I could pinpoint it. Within Bluetooth range - roughly 30 to 65 feet depending on your environment - the sound alert is loud enough to hear through a bag or under couch cushions. That was the first time I've ever had a tracking tag work that seamlessly with Google Home voice commands, and it's the kind of real-world integration that matters when you're rushing out the door for a flight or trying to locate your bag at the tailgate. ## One Four-Pack for iOS and Android - With a Key Limitation The Finder Duo works with both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub, which is a real advantage for households running mixed devices. You can pair some tags to your Android phone while someone else connects theirs through an iPhone. With four tags in the pack, there's enough to cover keys, luggage, a travel bag, and a spare. The important caveat - a single tag can only be paired to one platform at a time, and you can't share tracking between iOS and Android simultaneously. Also worth knowing: Google Find Hub doesn't support full loss reports on Android the way Apple does - it can only set Lost Mode, which sends notifications when nearby Android devices detect the tag. And unlike UWB-equipped trackers like the Moto Tag, the Finder Duo uses Bluetooth only, so you won't get directional "arrow pointing to your item" precision finding. For most everyday scenarios though - finding your keys, locating luggage at baggage claim, tracking a bag on a road trip - Bluetooth proximity and the sound alert handle it. The tags charge via USB-C with a dust plug to protect the port, and one charge delivers up to 12 months of use. iOS devices need iOS 17 or later, and Android requires 9.0 or above. ## UGREEN Cracked the Code on Android Tracking This is the first Android-compatible tracker I've tested that genuinely rivals the AirTag experience - reliable network tracking, voice-activated location through Google Home, and setup that takes seconds instead of frustrating troubleshooting sessions. UGREEN keeps seeing gaps in the market and filling them with products that work the way you expect tech to work in 2026. I've already tagged Jim's oxygen concentrator so we can always locate it, and my travel bag is next.
