# The Mount Gay x Devereux Golf Collection Is a Father's Day Win for Golfers *By James Hills — Updated August 2026* Mount Gay, the Barbados rum house that has been distilling since 1703, just put its name on a golf wardrobe. The limited-edition Mount Gay x Devereux Golf collection dropped in May 2026, pairing a rum brand that already pours at PGA events with a golf label built on streetwear energy. Most golf-and-booze crossovers are a logo slapped on a beige polo - this one I'd actually wear. If your dad golfs and keeps something good on the bar cart, your Father's Day shopping just got easy. ## Barbados Golf, From Sandy Lane to the Mount Gay Distillery There's a travel hook hiding in the branding. Barbados is a genuine golf destination - Sandy Lane's Green Monkey, Royal Westmoreland on the west coast, and the championship course at Apes Hill all sit on a compact island, a short drive from the Mount Gay distillery up in St. Lucy Parish. Gear like this plants an idea: a father-son golf trip to the island where the rum is made, or at least a long weekend with the guys at a resort closer to home, dressed like you've already been. The collection leans into Mount Gay's sailing heritage, which is why it reads more regatta than country club - and why it travels from the first tee to the beach bar. Barbados is also one of the few islands where the golf justifies the flight on its own, though [planning a Caribbean guys golf trip](https://www.mantripping.com/travel/caribbean-guys-golf-trip-planning-guide.html) around a mixed-handicap group takes more thought than booking a domestic stay-and-play. ## Six Pieces Of Golf Apparel That Rum Loving Dads Will Love! Here are six pieces from the collection that work as a Father's Day gift, sized from a centerpiece splurge down to a stocking-stuffer accessory. ### Our Picks For 28 of the Best Resorts for a Father-Son Getaway 28 resorts for a father-son getaway - from a downtown Cabo all-inclusive to a Wisconsin golf pilgrimage to an Alaska fish camp. It is wind-resistant with a front pouch pocket and drawcord adjustments - the layer he grabs on a breezy first tee. ### Mount Gay Sunday Bag ($248) The splurge of the lineup is a bold red 100% canvas carryall covered in Mount Gay x Devereux branding, with a spacious main compartment and easy carry handles. It works just as well for the range, the beach, or a flight - less a golf bag than a weekender that happens to match his polo. ## Man Gear Pick of the Month September's Pick Amazon (affiliate) ### Kenyon City Grill Portable Stainless Steel Electric Grill Why we picked it: a grill you can actually carry to the campsite, the tailgate or the cabin without borrowing a truck. Stainless, no propane tank to wrestle, and hot enough to cook for four guys rather than reheat for one. It is the piece that looks most at home walking off the 18th green. ### Regatta Tee ($38) A 100% cotton white tee with a custom sailing graphic, a soft hand-feel, and a ribbed neckline. At $38 it is the easy entry point to the collaboration - vintage sailing style that works on the course or off it. ### Barbados Hat ($38, or two for $60) A performance A-frame snapback in navy with a red underbill, a silicone Mount Gay Rum patch, and perforated side panels for breathability. At $38 - or two for $60 - it is the low-risk gift that quietly becomes his default cap. ### Mount Gay Golf Towel ($38) The finisher is a 100% cotton jacquard-knit towel with custom Mount Gay x Devereux artwork, soft and absorbent and sized to drape over a bag. It is the cheapest way into the collaboration and the detail his foursome notices first. ## The Move - One Piece, a Bottle, and a Tee Time The smartest version of this gift is a two-parter: pick one piece from the collection and stand a bottle of Mount Gay next to it - the Eclipse if he mixes, the Black Barrel if he sips it neat. It ties the apparel back to the 1703 distillery the whole thing is named for, and it photographs well on Father's Day morning. The capsule is limited-edition and selling while supplies last, so the popular sizes thin out fast. And if it lands the way these gifts tend to, you've got your opening for the bigger ask - a father-son golf trip to Barbados, where Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland are a rum's throw from the place that has been making the stuff for three-plus centuries, and the kit you bought him in June finally gets to travel.
