Wolverine sent me these boots for review, and the timing couldn't have been better - snow and ice hit us the night before they arrived. The Maize and Blue Collar collection represents more than team branding. This collaboration connects Michigan's blue-collar work ethic with the precision and grit required to compete at championship levels.


I was extremely impressed with the level of detail in these boots. It would have been good enough to just phone it in with some blue leather and maize laces, but Wolverine went several steps further. The heel loop is maize to add an extra pop of color, while the embossed M on the lower heel offers that extra element of style. Then they took things to the next level by including laces that weren't just maize but actually featured a subtle white pattern woven through them. This was truly a work of passion from some amazing designers at Wolverine.
