# The Vegas Bachelor Party Checklist: What To Plan Before The Group Flies Out *By James Hills — Updated October 2026* A Vegas bachelor weekend goes best when the casino time is planned instead of assumed. Vegas is still the first city most groups name for a bachelor party, and plenty of them still want some time at the tables, but fewer of them want the whole weekend built around a casino floor. Guys gamble differently now, and some of the floors have changed too, so the checklist below starts with the questions that shape everything else. **Questions****The Vegas Bachelor Party Checklist****Article Index** ** No answer selected. If anyone is looking at offshore sites, do the homework first. A handful of states license online casinos, offshore sites are not licensed by any of them, and whether playing on one is legal depends on where you live. [Learn more](https://playatoffshorecasinosites.com) about how offshore sites that accept US players compare on welcome offers, game libraries, banking, and payout speed before anyone deposits a dollar. Free-play versions of table games, where they are offered, are the cheapest way to learn the rules. ## Start With What The Groom Actually Wants The assumption that every [guys trip](https://www.mantripping.com/guys-trip.html) is a casino trip does not hold up. It means the planner should ask before building three days around a casino floor. Some grooms want a long night at the craps table. Others want a steakhouse, a round of golf, a show, and an hour of blackjack before bed. Get that answer first, and the rest of the checklist falls into place. The Strip puts everything inside a few resorts, at Strip prices. Downtown and Fremont Street trade some polish for lower table minimums and suites that cost far less. ## Man Gear Pick of the Month September's Pick Amazon (affiliate) ### Kenyon City Grill Portable Stainless Steel Electric Grill Why we picked it: a grill you can actually carry to the campsite, the tailgate or the cabin without borrowing a truck. The Golden Gate, the oldest hotel in Las Vegas, announced it was replacing its live-dealer tables with an electronic pit, and its owner pointed to younger players who prefer digital play. Electronic tables are cheaper and faster, which suits some groups fine. If the groom has his heart set on a live craps game with a stickman calling the dice, confirm the hotel still runs one. ## Get The First-Timers Ready Before The Flight Nearly every bachelor party has one or two guys who have never thrown dice in a casino. Nobody wants his first roll to happen at a crowded table with the whole group watching and a dealer waiting on him. A few evenings of free-play practice at home covers the basics: the pass line in craps, when to hit or stand in blackjack, and how roulette pays. Keep a basic strategy card on a phone for blackjack. Most casinos allow them at the table, as long as nobody slows the game down. Once on the ground, put the new guys at low-minimum tables early in the day, when minimums run lower and dealers have time to explain. ## Put One Throwback On The Schedule Skip the fourth hour at the same slot bank and book one oddball detour instead, the kind of stop the group would never find at home. Circus Circus brought bingo back to the Strip, the first bingo room on the Strip in years, and it runs on paper cards and ink daubers instead of tablets. It is also the only Strip casino still running coin-operated slots. An hour of bingo between the pool and dinner takes no skill, costs little, and puts the whole group at one table. That includes the guys who skip the casino the rest of the weekend. ## Set The Money Rules Before Anyone Lands Money is where a lot of bachelor party friction starts. Settle two numbers before the trip: what each guy owes for shared costs like the suite, dinners, and the groom's tab, and what each guy plans to gamble, which stays his own business. Keep those two pots separate. A guy who loses his gambling money on Friday night should still be at Saturday's dinner, and a payment app settled after each shared bill keeps anyone from fronting the whole weekend. Nevada casino floors require players to be 21 or older. If the weekend leaves anyone chasing losses, these [signs of a gambling problem](https://www.mantripping.com/stuff/recognizing-the-signs-of-a-potential-gambling-addiction.html) are worth knowing. ## Pace The Weekend So The Floor Doesn't Eat It A group that spends twelve straight hours gambling burns out by Saturday and misses the rest of the trip. Block the gaming into windows instead, such as a couple of hours before dinner and a late session after the show. Fill the daylight with what Vegas does well away from the tables: a desert golf course in the morning, a pool afternoon, or a drive out to Red Rock Canyon. Give each day one reservation the whole group commits to, and leave the rest loose. Book flights that land early Friday and leave late Sunday, so the groom gets two full nights without anyone racing to the airport.
