Halloween Haunted Destinations For A Guys Trip
ManTripping.com is building a haunted destinations roundup for guys who want their fall trip to come with a ghost story. Salem and New Orleans are the obvious ones that everyone knows and we will probably include them, but the submissions we most want are the places our readers have not already heard of and offer some unique experiences that will send chills down the neck of even the strongest most manly men in our audience.
We are looking for haunted hotels and inns you can actually book, ghost tours and paranormal investigations worth the ticket, haunted pub crawls, cemeteries and historic sites with a real story, prisons, asylums, sanatoriums and ships open to visitors, haunted distilleries and breweries, spooky trains and boat tours, towns that go all in for October, and haunted houses and scream parks worth traveling for rather than the one in the local mall parking lot. Legends, folklore, and local history are the point, so tell us the story.
Some destinations with multiple entries may be bundled together.
Two things make a submission usable. First, the story - what happened there, who is supposed to haunt it, and what visitors report. Second, the trip - what a group of guys does with the rest of the weekend, including where they eat, where they drink, and what else is nearby. A haunted site with nothing around it is a stop, not a trip.
Destinations featured in this roundup will be published on ManTripping.com with potential additional features on MenWhoBlog.com and CouplePlaces.com. Only respond if you represent the destination, property, tour operator, or tourism organization you are submitting.
Deadline: September 11, 2026
