There are some nifty ways to make the most of your available space and organize menswear wardrobe essentials. Getting older or leading an active social life means you need to dress the part on occasion. Events like weddings, birthdays, and religious holidays often mean dressing well. Yet even your job might require that look.

Either way, you will accumulate some unique fashionable items such as shoes, watches, and ties over the years. These are in addition to your growing clothing collection that probably takes most of the space in your wardrobe. As such, space tends to run out.

Shoes - Not Just Made for Walking

Men love a good pair of shoes as much as the next woman. However, like most guys, you're probably running out of space a little as your collection grows. There's the typical running shoes, your everyday shoes, and perhaps your indoor shoes or slippers. Most guys have these. But the problems begin when you start to think about fashion a little more, and you have some money coming in.

Then you might have your comfortable weekend soles, like a couple of pairs of Sketchers. There's always a good reason to put on some Timberland boots, and then there's the party selection of Oxfords, wingtips, and boat shoes. Shoe storage and shoe racks from Tylko mean you can make the most of it to organize your collection. This makes it easy to protect your expensive designs, find what you need and when and save some space in your wardrobe.

Watches - Face to Face

Men are obsessed with watches. They're stylish, elegant, engineered, and can be a status symbol. Watches are also an excellent means of expression and practicality when they're made for a purpose. Such watches include the Rolex Submariner, for example. Yet it's unlikely you have one of these lying around at $10,000 plus. If you do, then congratulations. But even lower value watches are highly collectible, and a man's watch collection can be very personal.

Therefore, you might want to protect and display your watches as a set. Watch boxes are excellent for this. They typically come in sizes of 3, 6, or 12 to accommodate as many watches. The better designs are plush-lined with soft inserts for your timepieces. And as great as organizing your watches into specific sets is, one of the most extraordinary things about a watch box is that they just look superb when on display. Or when you open your wardrobe and see their exquisite faces.

Ties - Maketh the Man

Like shoes for all occasions, you can never really have too many ties. Neckties, that is. Of course, there are other types, such as bow ties, but we will leave those for another time. Back to the point, ties are one of those things that men just need. Like women need hair clips, men need ties. Over a very short space of time, you can accumulate many ties as they are given as gifts, purchased when necessary or handed down from father to son, or passed between brothers. Some ties can be expensive and exquisitely crafted, such as Brooks Brothers or Rampley & Co.

Yet, such garments are often dismissed and do not show the respect they deserve. Folding or rolling is the better option where space is limited. Yet, it would be best if you were careful to place them so that they will not move around or rub against other items. Drawer separators are excellent for this.

If there is hanging space available, you could use a hanging tie rack in your wardrobe. These are very cheap and are perfect for sorting your neckties. Using clips attached to a rotating hanger, you can clip and hang your ties. So, no more rummaging around at the start of the week for your best Monday morning power tie.
