  • Some sporting events take the world by storm. The Olympic games, for instance, send us wild. Everyone from competing countries catches at least some of the action. This event is all about supporting your country. What’s more, the vast array of activities ensures that there really is something for everyone.

  • It’s been a wild ride in the NBA since the All-Star Break! With the NCAA Finals over, all eyes are back on the NBA. Teams are manning up and trying to clinch their playoff seeds and a few others are just barely on the outside looking in at a 2018 playoff berth.

  • People say that soccer is a boring sport, but despite my love for baseball it has soccer beat. Sure, there are moments of extreme action but I feel like many times when we jump up in our seats to cheer it's because we are so bored that we simply need to do something to avoid falling asleep. Never fear though! I've spent hundreds of hours attending baseball games and here's a few of my tricks to avoid boredom at a baseball game...

  • There are many great cities today that are a great choice for a beercation, but only Grand Rapids calls themselves "Beer City". It's a great destination that is located a close to Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis making it a great place for a weekend getaway. With more a Beer City Ale Trail boasting more than 80 breweries, it is certainly one of the top beer producers in the country. Experience Grand Rapids invited us to visit and see what all the fuss was about. Here's what we found!

  • Sitting at the far south end of the strip, Mandalay Bay Resort seems like more of a conference hotel than a destination for a guys weekend, but over several visits it has become one of my favorite properties in Las Vegas. Simply put, it's got great bars and restaurants, fantastic entertainment, a great gaming floor, good rooms, easy parking, and it's about to get even better once the Las Vegas Raiders open their new stadium across the street in 2020.

  • I woke up this morning and saw Warren Miller trending all over Twitter and Facebook only to find that he had passed away. His films inspired multiple generations with the groundbreaking adventure cinematography that mixed breathtaking visuals with fantastic humor. I suspect that even those that don't ski will enjoy his films as much as those that watched them and imagined that one day they too would be able to tackle ridiculously amazing landscapes like those show in his films. Here's some of my favorites to help celebrate his career as one of the best ski and sports filmmakers of all time.

  • With Father's Day here - but really any time of year - it's important to think about some cool ideas to do together as a father and son. While some of these ideas are better for dads to take their kids, and some are better for adult relationships - one thing is constant. That universal constant is that these are trips that will provide an opportunity for a father and son to bond outside of the normal day-to-day experience. Conversations will happen, skills will be learned, hugs will be had and at the end of the experience both parties will have had an incredible experience that only the two of them share.

So - are you ready to check out some super cool Father and Son guys trip ideas?

  • It's that time of year again when the kids are packing up their stuff and getting ready to head back to school. For the rest of us, we can still enjoy the cool weather and return of football season that is right around the corner. With that in mind, here's our list of favorite college football stadiums around the country.

  • Our culture has graduated from man caves to mancations, and many guys are tying in their bro travel to sports. But it's gone far beyond a double header or a weekend snagging two NASCAR series at the same track. Now it's multiple events at multiple venues, and baseball has proven to be a perfect sport for it.

  • Phoenix in the spring is a pilgrimage destination for all guys (and women) that love baseball. There is simply no better place in the world that you can go to experience the pure joy and excitement of the sport unspoiled by commercialism and the pressures of rankings. For a few weeks, it's just about playing the game and seeing some amazing young talent playing their hearts out along side seasoned veterans serving as their mentors. This is a destination that I try to visit each year, so when the folks at Toyota invited me out to celebrate in the sun with them I excitedly accepted.

  • Spring Training tailgating is different that football tailgates in the fall. Here, it's more relaxed, more casual and frankly more about hanging out and bonding as guys than it is a showcase of extravagant cooking and over-the-top decorations. Spring Training tailgate parties are special because for most of those in attendance, it's a pilgrimage. It's a time when friends travel across the country to hang out, share stories, and have an amazing experience that will live on as memories for years to come. We just came back from Cactus League Spring Training in Phoenix and here are our tips to make the most of your spring training tailgating experience.

  • Baseball is back next week! As opening day games commence across the country that means that millions of you will be wearing your favorite team hats and then going out afterwards to celebrate. While baseball caps are great for the game, the challenge most of us face is that it tends to compress your hair and it's pretty obvious that you just took your cap off before going out to the bars. Don't worry though, with the help of Old Spice's new Swagger Gel, we've got you covered!

  • Baseball is back and now that tax time is almost over, it's time to celebrate with an awesome party to celebrate. This is my favorite time of year since baseball for me is more than just a game - it's a chance to hang out with friends, enjoy ballpark treats, and cheer for my favorite teams. I'm clearly not alone since there are hundreds of baseball movies and scenes in TV shows as well and that's the inspiration for our ultimate Baseball Movie Party!

  • For those of you who are baseball fans, there's nothing like making a trip to Spring Training in Phoenix. For six weeks each spring, this oasis in the desert plays host to 15 MLB teams and it's possible to see all of your favorite teams just a few minutes drive from your hotel. When you combine that with the phenomenal spring weather, great golf, and fantastic food this is a MUST DO guys weekend for anyone who loves baseball!

  • It's that time of year again... one last chance to impress your friends with crazy, mostly useless facts and trivia that we men use to assert our superiority as an alternative to physical violence. While some men are blessed with photographic memories and others simply live for this one moment, allowing every other piece of knowledge to escape their brains - others of us need a bit of help. However, with these tips, you are certain to become the Super Bowl Trivia king of your circle of friends and they don't need to know your tricks!

  • There are "Hall of Fame" museums for virtually every sport and pastime out there, but based on our recent tour of the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Florida - this is one that every golf fan MUST visit at least once. What I loved about it is that our group ran the spectrum from "golf experts" to "novices" (me), yet everyone learned something new and all of us had a great time exploring the history of this amazing sport. For me personally, I think it also changed my impressions of golf and opened my eyes for just how much history and diversity have influenced this sport once limited to rich white guys in Scotland.

  • Crampons = Freedom From Slipping and Sliding on Ice

As winter approaches, there’s few things more essential than a sturdy pair of trail crampons for hiking, running, or simply walking across packed snow and ice. I mean what’s more literal about freedom than how you move on two feet?

All the Confidence Money Can Buy

Slipping easily over shoes or boots you already own, putting on crampons is like turning your feet into an off-road vehicle. These pair of Hillsound Trail crampons are a great example of what I’m talking about. They have eleven heat-treated spikes that bite into any adverse surfaces that winter can drum up. What does that translate to? Confidence.

The flex hinge design on them is outstanding, keeping a firm grip to the ground as while your foot transitions to the next step. Heal up - no loss of traction. I'm smacking my head, wishing I'd had these years ago when I was helping to survey the arctic ocean ice sheet over one summer. Needless to say, I would have been our flag football team's MVP.

While I’m taking this pair of Hillsound crampons on an upcoming trip to Patagonia, they’re just as suitable for a day in the local mountains or taking a stroll around the neighborhood to stretch your legs on an icy day.

Who knew you could buy freedom and confidence this winter for just roughly $60? A pretty good deal in my opinion, and a gift that’s both practical and novel this holiday season.

When vacationing in an RV, you don't have to worry about where you're going to stay and adding those costs into your trip. In many cases, if you plan on a mancation involving the great outdoors, you'll be able to stay closer to nature when you bring along an RV.

  • Winter is on its way, and that means likely some snow along with it. While many people try to hibernate indoors during the Winter, you don't have to be one of them. There are plenty of activities that you can do outside during the colder months, and they range from simple to quite crazy. If you're tired of the standard sledding down hills in your town, or building snowmen, here are some fun activities that you can consider trying out this upcoming Winter to add some excitement to those months.

  • In addition to athletic prowess and a lot of practice, it takes being bold to achieve greatness as an athlete. While there are many sports heroes that did that, there are a few that I feel deserve extra recognition because they were bold enough to push forward against extraordinary odds. While many of these men and women aren't the ones you think of, their accomplishments are simply extraordinary when you consider the challenges that faced them.
