# Whiskey Cocktail Recipes For the NFL Playoffs *By James Hills, mantripping.com — Updated January 2024* It's that time of year when football takes over our lives and we're down to just a handful of teams. So the folks at Redemption Rye sent over this whiskey cocktail roundup. Unfortunately some of favorite teams have already reached the bottom of the glass, but I'm sure that there's at least one here like the the Black and Gold Punch in honor of the New Orleans Saints that can help make you happy again!  We're going to start the list off with a special nod to the Bears and the heartbreak felt pretty much felt across the country - except maybe in Philadelphia :) **Bears: Midway Monster Toddy**  2 parts Redemption Rye  4 parts Hot Cinnamon Thyme Tea  1/2 part Simple Syrup  1/2 part Lemon Juice  Add ingredients to mug and enjoy. Garnish with lemon wheel. This savory cocktail is a traditional Midwest remedy thought to boost the immune system for Chicago’s bitter winters.    Below are the Divisional Round matchups and a cocktail for each team provided by Redemption Rye Whiskey.    **Colts: Indiana Sour**  2 parts Redemption Rye  3/4 part Lemon Juice  3/4 part Sugar Syrup  1 Egg White (or 1 part aquafaba)  1/2 part Huber’s Blueberry Port (float)  Dry shake all ingredients without ice. Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled coupe glass. Float Huber’s Blueberry Port.    **Chiefs: Midwest Rye Tai**  1 1/2 parts Redemption Rye  1/2 part Apple Brandy  1/2 part Dry Curacao  1/2 part Orgeat (almond syrup)  1/2 part Lime Juice  Shake all ingredients with ice and strain onto freshly crushed ice. Garnish with mint bouquet.  **Cowboys: Old Fashioned Razzle Dazzle**  2 parts Redemption Rye  1/2 part Rich Sugar Syrup  2 dashes Angostura Bitters  Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice until incorporated. Strain into a rocks glass with ice. Express lemon oil and discard peel. Garnish with dehydrated pineapple star and edible silver flake.    **Rams: Coliseum Rye Tai**  2 parts Redemption Rye  1 part Banana Liqueur  1/2 part Orgeat (almond syrup)  1/2 part Lime Juice  Shake ingredients with ice and strain into tiki glass with crushed ice. Garnish with blueberries on cocktail pick.    **Chargers: Electric Whiskey Sour**  2 parts Redemption Rye  3/4 part Lemon Juice  3/4 part Sugar Syrup  1 pinch Blue Majik Spirulina  1 Egg White (or 1 part aquafaba)  Dry shake all ingredients without ice. Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled coupe glass. Using stencil, lightly dust shape of lightning bolt onto foam.    **Patriots: New England Coffee Old Fashioned**  2 parts Redemption Rye  1/4 part Coffee Syrup  2 dashes Angostura Bitters  Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice until incorporated. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Express orange oil and lemon oil. Garnish with both citrus peels.  **Eagles: Fly Old Fashioned Fly**  2 parts Redemption Rye  1/2 part Cinnamon-Coconut Sugar Syrup  2 dashes Barrel Aged Bitters (Fee’s)  Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice until incorporated. Strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with Philadelphia Potato Candy.    **Saints: Black and Gold Playoff Punch**  2 parts Redemption Rye  1 part Banana Liqueur  1/2 part Orgeat (almond syrup)  1/2 part Lime Juice  1/4 part Blackstrap Rum (float)  Shake ingredients with ice and strain into tiki glass with crushed ice. Float Blackstrap Rum.
