  • The opening games of the new NFL season are done, and while it is too early to judge who will lift the Super Bowl, we decided to make a go of it anyway.

  • It was a rough start to the off-season for the New England Patriots when Tom Brady — the greatest quarterback of all time — made the decision to take his supreme talents to Tampa Bay. And after 20 years with the franchise, the six-time Super Bowl Champion will continue his NFL career as a Buccaneer. While his departure was announced in mid-March, fans are still coming to terms with his absence as it officially marks the end of an era.

  • Football season is almost over - yes we know there's one more "Big Game" coming up but we wanted to put this list of best football movies together so we could keep busy till next season. There's something for everyone in here from silly movies like Necessary Roughness and the Waterboy to tear jerkers like Brian's Song. The one thing that they all have though is an expression of love for football and the personalities, challenges, and excitement that make football such an amazing sport on... and off the field!

So let's capitalize on it by making a treat that will make your guests laugh, giggle, and maybe even start a spirited discussion or two!   • header-image-beer-mug There is certainly no shortage of bars offering happy hour specials but we recently were invited to check out Islands's NFL Happy Hour in La Jolla / San Diego. In addition to happy hour classics like wings and fries we were treated to a wide selection of Hawaiian themed treats that matched the restaurant's theme.

    For those of you who haven't visited an Islands restaurant, it is a surf / Hawaiian themed burger joint that 50 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii.
