  • Four Ways To Save Money With DIY Car Care

Hopefully by now, you've had a chance to recover from holiday spending and maybe you're expecting a refund. Even so, money is money and it's always good to have more. Plus, I feel like us men are "expected" to know how to do stuff, but honestly, I'm not a mechanic... and I know a lot of you guys aren't either. Don't worry though, while installing a supercharger or replacing an exhaust pipe might be beyond most of us, there are things we can do our selves that will help save money compared to sending the car to the garage to get it fixed.

  • Live Life Like It's Vegas: Tips For Men To Increase Confidence

It's tough today for guys - we are told to still be bastions of masculinity, defenders of our families, and all those typically masculine roles we've always been responsible for. Unfortunately, but at almost every intersection we are also told we are to loud, too destructive, too fat, not caring enough etc. Today we are expected to be all the manly stuff, but without the testosterone fueled activities that go along with that. As a result, I feel like a lot of guys are lost but it doesn't have to be that way. Think about it this way. If you plan your life the way you would a trip to Vegas then that's really all you need to think about and the rest will just fall together.

  • Amazing Luxury Watches For the Traveling Man

Selecting a watch was once as simple as saying "I want the black one". In fact, there's almost no area where innovation has been as core to the industry as watches and clocks. From the early days when accurate timekeeping was critical to navigating a sailing vessel to the new world to today when your watch isn't even really just a timepiece, this industry is amazing. For those of us who love to travel to extreme and exotic locations though, this means that no matter where you are going there is a watch that is perfect to take with you!

  • Year Round Tips For Entrepreneurs to Avoid Tax Related Stress

Back when I was younger, taxes were easy - I went to my dad and just told him what my income was and with a few squares filled out and a handful of signatures I was off to the post office to get my refund. Today though, things are different and pretty much everyone I know has a part-time gig of some sort. Whether they are working with a ride share company or have a blog, there are all sorts of things that you need to consider all year long to make sure that you are set for tax season.

  • Video Games I'm Looking forward to in 2016

It's starting to be that time of year again - we're passed the Christmas crush of new games an gearing up for the spring. As a huge fan of the Far Cry series, I'm super excited about the pending release of Far Cry Primal. So, I decided maybe it was time to do a roundup of some of the other games that will be coming out this year that I'm looking forward to as well!

  • Ways To Make Shoveling Snow More Fun and Easy

I hate shoveling snow - that's one of the reasons I moved to San Diego a couple years ago. The winters simply suck up north with winter storms and having to stock up with supplies like milk, bread, ice melter etc. Despite my current location, I do remember creating unique ways to make the dreaded task of shoveling snow just a little bit more enjoyable.

Ultimately, it's up to you and what you want to get out of your golf game. There's no reason that everyone needs to be a pro able to compete on an international circuit. • Tips For Interacting With and Helping Disabled Veterans

Sadly, over the past ten years, I seem to see more and more veterans in wheelchairs or with artificial limbs. Others have even more severe injuries. These aren't "old guys" with normal ailments, but younger guys too... ones that have sacrificed their youth and vibrancy for the relative peace and prosperity that we enjoy at home. While I think most of us welcome them in our hearts - it is sometimes difficult to express our gratitude to veterans in general... and only gets more awkward when they happen to be disabled. Hopefully these tips will help make things easier the next time you are in a meeting, dinner party, or simply sitting next to each other while waiting for the bus to work.

  • Style and Design is a Huge Personal Technology Trend For 2016

At a certain point, technology becomes "good enough" and you stop needing more megapixels, more memory, and faster chips. While I'm sure we'll find some reason to start pushing again, but I feel that technology has gotten to the point where it's stopped being the realm of the geek... and entered a phase where it's truly personal. In a weird way though, it seems that the foreign companies are leading this - especially in the mobile arena. Companies such as Huawei launched some great new products such as women's versions of their smart watch - and also brought the gold version of the Nexus 6P to the US as well.

  • A Wine and Cheese Plate Pairing Makes for A Great Romantic Evening

You may think you've got time since Valentine's Day is still a couple months away but Christmas can be romantic occasion too, as can New Years Eve! One thing that I'm always a fan of us doing a plate with assorted cheeses and other items along with a favorite bottle of wine. The folks over at Whole Foods Market agreed to share some of their knowledge and hooked us up with three amazing cheese and three bottles of wine.

  • The Force Awakens - A New Generation's Star Wars

To be completely fair, all movies are a product of their times. What made Star Wars great in the beginning, was its ability to meld groundbreaking special effects with compelling narrative drawing from timeless story lines. For the prequels they were a product of an industry drunk on CGI but immature to the point of not really understanding when to use computer graphics and when it would simply look better to have real props. The movie I watched yesterday morning is similarly a product of its time. That's not completely a bad thing but it did leave an awkward taste in my mouth despite it being generally a fun movie to watch.

  • Five Tips for Traveling Safe While Working

I travel a lot and it seems like this fall I've been on the road almost every week for one thing or another. Heck, I was in the Caribbean last month but unfortunately, I still had to work. That means bringing with me a bunch of gear including my laptop so I thought I might share some tips with you about how I manage to travel safe - while still working.

  • Five Ways to Watch Football Without Having to Deal With Family

It's that time of year again - friends and family gather and according to Rockwellian lithographs everything is supposed to be full of joy and excitement. I'm here to state the obvious... that's all a bunch of BS created by marketers to put people in the mood to buy more stuff! At the end of the day, while family is fun it's often best to do Thanksgiving out at a restaurant and the just go somewhere else to watch the games.

  • New Wedding Band Options for Guys

I've been married more than 10 years at this point and I've learned a lot. Heather and I were among the first of our friends to get married and wow things have changed a lot since then. Advertising focuses on how the ring defines the woman or empowers her or shows her your love. Even their websites feature women's rings above men's. So when Heather selected my wedding band it was her choice among very few options. Even if there were options I frankly was never prepared to communicate my desired design the way she was with hers.

  • Tips To Make Sure Your Garage Is Ready for Fall

Winter is coming and that means that you are about to put away your leaf blowers and string trimmers but also prepare your winter gear like snowblowers, chainsaws, and generators. When I was younger I thought it was simply enough to empty the gas from these machines and store them away where it was dry. While that's is still important, over the years I've learned that the harsh winter conditions need more preparation than this to ensure that my machines are ready to fire up again in the spring.

  • Your Grass Doesn't Have to Die Even Though There's a Drought!

California is an amazing state with some of the best and brightest people in the entire world that live here. Unfortunately that same great weather and beautiful landscape that attracts those people can sometimes turn on us and right now the state is in a historical drought that is causing lawns to dry up, toilets to be flushed less often and communities to work hard to conserve what water they can.
