I really dig this multi-tool and I've been using it as my go to gadget for the past couple months now. In fact, they sent it to me to check out after complaining to the PR person about how terrible the cheap "Leatherman" knockoff was that I bought on my own. I was naieve and thought that all of these were pretty much the same. I was wrong. While that one I bought was low cost ... it was also cheaply made, and broke after just a few weeks of use.
On the other hand, this one from Victorinox aka the "Swiss Army Knife" guys has lasted even after putting it in some pretty dicy situations where I wouldn't have been surprised if the metal bent or even snapped.
Design and Construction
Its focused design as a true multi-tool sets the Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit X apart from traditional Swiss Army knives. The 4.1-inch length and reasonable 7.4-ounce weight strike an excellent balance between capability and portability. Whether you're storing it in your backpack for a camping trip or keeping it handy for home repairs, it never feels cumbersome.
