Most men worry about what will happen if and when they lose their hair. Some guys are proactive and start shaving their heads early while others invest heavily in creams, shampoos, and other preventative measures to ward of the perceived inevitable. Our fathers and grandfathers had few solutions here for preventing baldness, much less recovering once your hairline begins to recede but today we're lucky. Medical science has done wonderful things in the past few years. Let's take a look.

Hair has been a symbol of masculine strength and virility for thousands of years. Think back to Biblical stories when Samson lost his power after an untimely haircut! While many things have changed since those days, one thing that hasn't it that women see long well-kept hair as being sexy and frankly a lot of guys do too. Like most men, I have an overwhelming number of stresses placed upon me. These include family, work, money, peer pressure and more. Those stresses only increase with the media telling us that everything we've known and been taught is wrong and that WE are the problem. The man bun is a terrible trend that needs to go away. It represents the worst aspects of feminized masculinity possible. While long hair can be rugged and masculine, putting it up in a bun is like hiding your power. I'm not saying that you have to have long hair to be a strong modern man... but what's the point of growing it long just to tie it up and look like a woman in the process? Despite my feelings on this ridiculous hairstyle, it seems to be permeating certain sectors of society and splintering into all sorts of sub-styles of the man bun. Growing a beard has been a sign of masculine power and strength for thousands of years. While culturally we no longer must grow one to illustrate our masculinity, an increasing number of guys are choosing to do so anyhow.
