This is a great state for guys looking hit the slopes, spend fall weekend chasing peak color through the White Mountains, and chase a few rounds of summer golf at Waterville Valley resort. The Granite State packs serious outdoor range into a compact footprint — you can ski in the morning, hit a brewery in North Conway by afternoon, and be lakeside on Winnipesaukee by dinner.

New Hampshire's coastline is only 18 miles long, but Portsmouth makes every foot count.
